What we do

Knowledge of and use of digital care solutions requires appropriate know-how from all actors in the healthcare system - from doctors to medical, nursing and therapeutic specialists to cost bearers and service providers. In order to be able to develop an understanding of digital applications and processes and to be able to deal with them appropriately, the acquisition of such skills plays an essential role.

As can be seen time and again in the media, Germany is lagging behind in many areas when it comes to digitization. This also applies to the training of digital skills. For example, health telematics is not yet firmly anchored in academic teaching or in continuing education and training. This is why the Bayerische TelemedAllianz has been pursuing the goal of educating and imparting knowledge in the areas of health telematics, eHealth and telemedicine since its founding.

The Academy.Telemedicine.Bavaria   was created specifically for this purpose. Its aim is to increase acceptance of these topics so that everyone can benefit from the diverse potential of digitization in the healthcare system. The academy consists of a practical and a theoretical component:
